Do I have to be a dad to join?
No. Despite the name, parenthood is not a requirement to join AZDBC. What is required is a family-first mentality. Many of our members do have children, and we expect every player to demonstrate respect, support, and behavior that reflects a family-friendly environment.
What are the requirements to register?
Age: Players must be 25+, with limited exceptions (see Player Information in the Rules).
Skill Level: All skill levels are welcome. There is no minimum requirement.
Eligibility Restrictions:
Players with certain post–high school experience may be subject to eligibility rules (see Player Information in the Rules).
Active roster Minor League or MLB-affiliated players are not permitted to play in AZDBC, including as Free Agents.
What is the cost to register?
Team Registration: $3,800 per season
Early Registration Discount: $200 off
Late Registration Fee: $300 additional
Free Agent Registration: $50
(Fees subject to change based on league equipment costs.)
What do registration fees include?
Field rentals
Umpire fees
Game baseballs
Access to team administration software
And most importantly — a fun, competitive baseball experience
How do I order uniforms or fan apparel?
AZDBC does not supply uniforms as teams are responsible for their uniforms
How long is the season?
Spring Season: February – May
Fall Season: Labor Day weekend – mid-December
Each team plays 12 regular season games (one per week).
All teams are eligible for a 3-week playoff tournament in their division.
When are games played?
Primarily Saturdays and Sundays
Make-up games may be scheduled as needed (days/times depend on field availability)
Where are games played?
Games are held at city parks across the East Valley, primarily in Gilbert, Chandler, and Mesa, AZ.
How long are games?
Regular Season: 7 innings, 2:05 no new inning, 2:20 drop dead
Non-Championship Tournament: 9 innings, 3:05 no new inning, 3:20 drop dead
Championship Tournament: 9 innings, 3:45 no new inning, 4:00 drop dead
Can I register an entire team?
Yes.
There is no maximum or minimum roster size.
If you’re not already rostered, complete the non-rostered player registration, and your info will be shared with team captains.
To start a new team, contact AZDBC Administration at support@azdadsbaseball.com.
(Note: Captains are responsible for roster management. AZDBC does not handle roster disputes.)
What if I miss registration?
You can sign up as an unrostered player or free agent.
Unrostered player lists are shared with captains, who may reach out if they need players.
Fees for unrostered players are set by the captain — the league does not collect payment in these cases.
What if I can’t commit to a full season?
AZDBC offers a Free Agent option.
Free Agents must complete required waivers and forms before their first game.
Once completed, paperwork remains valid for the rest of the season.

Are there playoffs and a championship?
Yes. AZDBC concludes each season with two weekends of playoffs followed by a championship weekend.
What is the refund policy?
Rostered players: Refund requests must go through your team captain.
Free Agent registration: Non-refundable.
